Caroline was baptized on August 1st. It was truly a special day in that we, as a family and a church, promised to raise her so that she will hear God's Word and so that she will see God's love through us. Our prayer is that she will one day accept Jesus as her personal Savior and that there will never be a day where she doesn't know His love and walk with Him. On this day, we also had Anna Grant "dedicated." When she was a baby, we were members of another church, so we felt that it was important for us to make a promise to this church to raise her so that she will see God's love poured out in our lives as well. And in return for the church to promise to help raise her so that she will know about Jesus and to nurture that relationship. God has indeed poured out His blessings on us! May they know His grace, love and mercy and walk with Him all the days of their lives. As Bryan, our pastor, says, "What an incredible privilege... What an awesome responsibility!"
Notice that Caroline's lip is poked out! She was not happy about this one bit! She kept saying Daddy, Daddy! Bryan said he's never had a baby not like him! Oh well! There's always a first time for everything!
He had to give Caroline back to Brannon during the prayer. She wanted her Daddy!
To get her to quit crying, Bryan would point out different family members sitting in the crowd. Well, that just made her want to get off the stage even more!
Sweet Anna Grant
She loved being up there and smiled and waved the whole time!
We look hot. It was over 100 degrees that day!
