Merry Christmas!

Happy Birthday to Me!

I had such a wonderful birthday on Sunday!  It actually started on Saturday night when Brannon took me to eat at Park Heights!  Of course, I don't have any pictures of our date!  I seem to only have the camera when the girls are around!  We had a delicious, relaxing dinner, and my mom was so sweet to keep Anna Grant and Caroline!  On Sunday, my grandmother cooked lunch for us, and we ate birthday cake (the most important part of a birthday according to AGK)!  We went to eat at the Grill on Sunday night with Melissa, Mary Ellis, Mary Ellis' friend Carter, Mrs. Janet , GG, Curry and Anna Grant!  The babies stayed home with a babysitter!  It was fun to go out!  Then on Monday night, I celebrated with my sweet friends at Margaritas!  I feel so loved and had the best birthday!

Dear Santa...

Why do we put ourselves through this every year?  I guess for the memory!  We went to the mall last Friday around lunchtime!  I talked Melissa in to taking her kids and Mrs. Janet and Mary Ellis met us there!  I told Melissa we had to go on Friday because school was about to let out and there would be a million kids at the mall once they were out of school!  Well, we didn't beat the crowd because school let out at noon!  We waited in line for Santa, and when we finally got up to him  BOTH girls started screaming and crying!  Isn't at least one child supposed to love Santa?  With a line a mile long waiting for us to get pictures taken, Brannon and I had no choice but to get in the picture with them!  Merry Christmas!

Anna Grant's School Christmas Party

Anna Grant's 3 Year Old Preschool class had a Christmas party last Thursday!  Each child brought a book for a friend to open!  Anna Grant got the book Biscuit!  It was such a fun party and these little 3 year olds were so excited to get a book!

Fun Filled Christmas Day

The first Saturday in December is one of my favorite days of the year!  We have started a tradition of going to the Kiwanis pancake breakfast, the Christmas Parade, Build Your Own Gingerbread House and then to the Nutcracker!  It is a jammed pack day but so much fun!

Caroline enjoyed the pancakes, too!

Cookie Swap

We enjoyed getting together at Bounds' house for a cookie swap!  It was so much fun, and Anna Grant came home with a box full of yummy cookies!  She thinks she gets to eat cookies all day long "because they are hers."  I must say that I have enjoyed eating them, too!

Christmas Cookies

We had so much fun baking cookies for Bounds' Cookie Swap!  We rolled out the dough and made star sugar cookies, topped off with icing and sprinkles!  Anna Grant ate WAY too many but she definitely enjoyed it!

A Short Trip to the Mall

Anna Grant's class went to the mall to eat, play and see Santa!  We had a very short stay at the mall because Anna Grant did not want to mind her teachers!  All she wanted to do was whine, cry, and hang on my leg!   I don't know what her problem was!  She was the only 3 year old having a miserable time!  After a little while, I decided it was best for us to head home!  She wasn't happy about it and neither was mama!  It was quite a day of kicking and screaming!
Before the meltdown!
Check out that face!  She was FORCED to take a picture!

He's Back!!

Freddy made his debut the day after Thanksgiving!  Anna Grant has so much fun looking for him each morning when she gets up!  However, she did tell me that I was the one who moved Freddy around the house!  I assured her that Freddy had Christmas Magic, and he flew each night to the North Pole to report to Santa if she had been good or bad! I don't really think she cares about what Freddy reports!

Christmas Time

We decorated our house for Christmas two weeks ago!  I love this time of year!  Anna Grant was so excited to hang ornaments on the Christmas tree!
