It's taken me a quite a while to sort through all of the hundreds of pictures that were taken on our annual beach trip with Brannon's family! At times, we joked that we looked like the paparazzi chasing after our kids! Luckily, Melissa and Mrs. Janet had their cameras out the most, so I've just enjoyed the pictures that they took for me! We truly had a wonderful trip! It started out a little rocky with Caroline having pneumonia right before we left, and then Brannon got strep throat for the first 3 days of our trip! But after a visit to the Sea Grove Medical Clinic, an antibiotic and two shots, he started to feel much better! With 5 kids 5 years old and under, there was definitely never a dull moment, and there were some days that I don't think we sat down on the beach! But it was fun! Our girls loved playing at the beach! Unlike the previous beach trip when Caroline was sick, she had a blast in the ocean and did not like getting out of it! She would have loved for me to turn her loose! Anna Grant, on the other hand, liked being in the ocean but wanted the security of her ring! The difference in their two little personalities! All 5 kids played really well together and slept great too. Everyone in Brannon's family knows how important that is to me:).
We really enjoyed our week together, but this year was definitely different. This was our first summer at the beach without Dockie. He always loved the family trips to the beach, and we really missed him this year. But the Lord comforts us daily, and we just have to believe that Heaven has some sugar white sand beaches even prettier than the Florida panhandle!
